I only have a little bit of material for the awesome new Savage Worlds game from the Pinnacle Entertainment Group, but I plan to put up most anything that seems to have some quality to it. This game system has the potential to play any genre and is exceptional at converting worlds which are cool in concept, but weak in rules.
So, what's so cool about this game? Well, its tag line is Fast! Furious! Fun! and it lives up to it. Combat, character creation, skill checks, and just about everything else have been designed from the ground up to be quick and straightforward. In fact, combat is so clean and quick that Savage Worlds can even be used to play miniatures games! We've had larger combats already in our Test Drive play of Savage Worlds than in any other game we've tried. And we spend less time managing combat, and focus on the fun of roleplaying and problem solving. And, if you've perused my FUDGE pages, you'll see that I'm looking for options to a lot of existing games and game worlds, and I've found that Savage Worlds cuts my conversion time by something like 80% over FUDGE. That's huge! And that's why I'm using Savage Worlds for anything that begs for conversion.
Note (5/12/2003): I just received my full rules! This means that much of this material will need to be reviewed and edited to work with those rules, instead of just the Test Drive. This note will disappear when that work is done.
Adventures
Here's an adventure to follow The Red Swamp which is called Orcs! It features lots of orcs. It's just an outline, but we had a great time playing it. Perhaps I'll give it a better treatment in the future.
New Worlds
Here's my very own, very first Savage World sketch. There's enough here to begin working with, and I like the direction it's going, but there's lots more to do before it will be more than just a sketch.
I'm also writing a short story to introduce the world. It's called Farmers. It's not done yet, but even now it will give you some idea of where things are going in that world.Conversions
One of my favorite settings is Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay from Games Workshop. I have been working on some conversion information, which is posted at Randy Mosiondz' site:
Thanks to Randy for leading that conversion effort and hosting that site!
I threw out some suggestions not too long ago on what Traveller might look like in the Savage Worlds system. These notes are only a beginning, but it's something to build on. Arcanum and Top Secret thoughts are here, too. None of these are complete, but they're something to build on. Feel free to contact me to talk about any of these.
House Rules and Additions
I'm adding a few things as I muse about the game. Most of this is untested, but a lot of Savage Worlds is by feel, and these feel right to me for now.
Genre Notes
I have a page about semi-generic Cthulhu-style horror games. It collects some of the Test Drive notes the group I am playing with have come up with. I've also added notes about bards on a fantasy page.

Here's a collection of links and pages to resources other Savage Worlds GM's and players may find useful.
